One of the long-standing requirements of anyone dealing with lithography is to achieve high resolution images on a wide range of materials. To meet market demands, printing machinery has evolved creating more and more specific machines. There is a vast range of materials that can be printed. Depending on the desired result, it is possible to print on: canvas (the traditional painting support), Plexiglas, (used instead of glass and unbreakable), PVC (the most commonly used for outdoor advertising boards), corrugated plastic (a cheap plastic material), forex (a more elegant material similar to canvas), paper (the most traditional material in the printing industry), and also glass, wood, fabric, aluminium and magnetic supports. Magnetic supports are the latest novelty in the world of communication.
A print carried out on magnetic supports becomes long-lasting, re-usable, easy-to-apply, the sheets can be placed one on top of the other providing the possibility of creating a dynamic message able to indulge the designer’s imagination. Magnetic supports come in various formats in order to meet every requirement and every application. However, printing directly on a magnetic sheet has often been a problem, therefore printers are still forced to print on paper which is subsequently applied to the magnetic sheet.
To overcome this problem, Compo Tech Co. has developed ECO MAG and ECO MAG SPEED PRINTER. ECO MAG is an extra thin and extra large magnetic sheet. The sheet features a white printable side; it is 0.3 mm thick and it is much lighter in terms of volume when compared to standard 0.6 mm magnetic sheets. The ECO MAG sheet reaches widths of up to 1,524 mm compared to the 1,000 mm of standard sheets and a length in rolls of up to 30 m. The product is made of recycled materials, making it entirely recyclable. Ideal for flatbed printers.
ECO MAG SPEED PRINTER is the non-magnetised magnetic sheet; this means that the magnetic side is not activated. Light and just 0.3 mm thick, it is ideal for super high speed and high volume digital and offset printers.
ECO MAG SPEED PRINTER is available in sheets with three formats: 500 mm x 707 mm, 330 mm x 480 mm, 320 mm x 450 mm. The sheets are loaded directly onto the printer, ideal for small prints and high volume printers. Tried and tested on HP Indigo and Konika Minolta printers. Once the sheets have been printed, they have to be magnetised. All that needs to be done is to activate the properties of magnetic powders using the MAGNETISATION KIT provided. ECO MAG SPEED PRINTER also comes in the DUPLEX version, where both white sides can be printed and subsequently magnetised, ideal for digital and offset printers.
