For top customer we produced 50,000 magnetic cylinders for the electric motor for industrial cooling fan.
Since the application requires a considerable resistance to thermal shock, (temperature ranges from -40° C. to + 60° C.) was used a special shaft so that it does not break with excessive cold. To facilitate the fastening of the magnet to the shaft, the cylinder has four inner teeth.
The neodymium plastic magnet, 30 mm in diameter and 37 mm high, features a special epoxy resin coating and 24-pole OD radial magnetization.
Magnetic characteristics correspond to those of grade BM-08 (Br 600-680 mT / Hcb 360-440 KA/m / Hcj 640-800 KA/m / (BH)max 7.5-9.0 MGOe). Even the magnet, of course, has been realized to ensure high performance during temperature changes.
