The limestone is a sedimentary rock consisting mainly of calcium carbonate (CaCO3). We find this compound dissolved in water in the form of calcium hydrogen carbonate, also said calcium bicarbonate. In nature may be present in the form of calcite or aragonite. The first one is responsible for the limestone deposits that clog household taps. To overcome this problem Compo Tech Co has developed, along with an Italian company leader in the production of taps, a magnetic system to prevent the formation of calcite. A simple, economic and easy installation solution that requires no maintenance and does not alter the organoleptic characteristics of water. The system consists of a metal body containing the permanent magnets of high power and quality that act on the calcium carbonate present in the water.
Passing through the magnetic field, the calcite present in the water undergoes a transformation that prevents the deposition of limestone, losing its adherence to metal surfaces. The magnet does not contain nickel and is made of high quality materials that match the prescription of Decree 443/90 of the Ministry of Health for the treatment of water for drinking purposes.
