The automotive sector has the largest number of magnetic installations. There are endless applications dedicated to closing mechanisms for the glove compartment, fuel tank, bonnet; right up to applications designed to keep items securely fastened, such as the magnet used to secure the car radio or the dashboard. There is also a consistent quantity of magnetic sensors: sensors for the windscreen wipers or for moving mirrors, proximity and parking sensors, level sensors (fuel and/or water). But magnets can be found also in the water, oil and fuel filters, in the car radio and speakers. This array must include a mention for the various electric motors used in cars which obviously include magnets: the windscreen wiper motor, window lift motor, boot opening and closing motor.
